Dovetail Linear Translation Stages

There are 5 variations in for extended contact ball bearing guide linear stages, these are separated by the linear motion of the stage (X, XY, Z, XZ, XYZ).

The products which involve these variations include, the TASB (Dovetail Translation Stages With Leadscrew Actuators and Locking Mechanism) and the TAR (Rack and Pinion Dovetail Stages). Some stages also come with the vertical option of linear movement which is denote by L in the product code and opposite model (inverse motions) denoted by R in the product code.

The dovetail groove method with face-fitting guide mechanism is used. Its high friction coefficient is not suitable for fine positioning, but very effective in simple positioning.

The simple guide structure offers low price. Highly stable due to face-fitting guide. Compact design is ideal for assembly in systems or fixing in confined spaces.

The TAS Series is a leadscrew dovetail translation stages with rectangular form factor (adds longer travel with fine adjustment) with 15 × 15 mm / 25 × 25 mm / 40 × 40 mm / 60 × 60 mm / 65 × 65 mm stage sizes.

The TASB series is a dovetail translation stages with leadscrew actuators and locking mechanism with 24 × 30 mm / 18 × 60 mm stage sizes.

  • Ideal for system integration where fine alignment is made, the stage is locked, and the system is sealed or
  • Multiple square footprints
  • Minimal protrusions, including the adjustment knob, to fit within tight
  • Lockable with the use of a small locking set screw and

 

The TAR Series are rack and pinion dovetail translation stages, suitable for frequent use that require quick movement and long travel.  They have a large knurled adjustment knob for ease of translation.
