Laser 2000

Benchtop Laser Diode Drivers

Benchtop laser diode drivers for low, medium, and high power applications.

Laser 2000 offers Arroyo Instruments’ broad range of benchtop laser diode drivers, to meet your exact test needs. From 100 milliamps to 20 Amps, all of the LaserSource benchtop laser drivers include unique features not found on competing products, such as optically isolated photodiode and modulation inputs, programmable PD bias, and both RS232 and USB computer interfaces.

The LaserSource also has laser diode protection circuits such as interlock, ESD protection, and hardware limits for current and voltage.

Arroyo Instruments’ benchtop laser diode drivers represent the culmination of years of experience developing current sources for test and measurement. The LaserSource series of products incorporates industry standard features with important improvements in instrument design and are the most advanced laser diode drivers on the market today.

Full Isolation Means No Ground Loops
Ground loops can plague instrument setups. In a major design improvement over traditional benchtop laser diode drivers, every input & output is optically and electrically isolated, creating a versatile instrument that is unaffected by the electrical configuration of your diode or other test equipment. Even the photodiode input is fully optically isolated from the laser output. No other driver on the market has this capability.

4-Wire Sense
The 4200-DR, 4320 and 4400 benchtop laser diode drivers feature four-wire voltage sense for accurate device voltage measurements possible.

Quasi-CW (QCW) Capable
The 4300 and 4400 offer quasi-CW (QCW) measurements (optional on 4300), with trigger in and trigger out BNCs for synchronisation with other instruments. Pulses can be generated using the internal function generator, or triggered externally.

Adding QCW mode does not mean you lose CW operation
QCW-equipped instruments retain all the capabilities of their CW-only cousins.

Easy to Use
Unlike other benchtop laser diode drivers, the LaserSource employs a dot pixel character display which provides easy-to-read status, readings, and errors. This means you won’t need to consult the manual to set the current limit, or interpret error codes; you can read it directly on the display in plain English.
