Polarisation & Phase Control

Polarisation is the state or behaviour of the transverse electric field of a light wave.
Product Categories

Polarisation is the state or behaviour of the transverse electric field of a light wave. Since the electric component of light is measurably affected by interaction of light with matter and energy, the polarisation characteristics of light can provide diagnostic information for a broad range of applications. Remote sensing, solar astronomy, atomic and molecular spectroscopy, and materials analysis are examples of the fields in which polarisation measurements are employed.

Precise control and measurement of polarisation behaviour is necessary to obtain optimal performance from optical components and systems.

Liquid Crystal Devices

Meadowlark Optics provide Parallel Aligned Nematic, Twisted Nematic and Ferroelectric liquid crystals. These are used in variable retarders/waveplates, polarisation rotators and attenuators/shutters from the UV to the MIR.  With achromatic, high speed and binary options available.

Spatial Light Modulators

We offer a wide range of Meadowlark optic spatial light modulators, from Optical Kits to transmissive and high-speed SLM’S. Each product offers a unique wavelength range and LC response time to shape spectra and pulses. Perfect for optical tweezing, Neuroscience, Optogenetics and Microscopy.
