The CMOS cameras are used for high resolution imaging for astrophysics and microscopy and much more. Each product has varying effective numbers of pixels, readout speed, readout noise and dynamic range for unique applications. These come in multiple sub-series like the Flash, Fusion and Digital.

Laser 2000 offers the best CMOS imaging camera currently on the market, with the ORCA quest being able to resolve the number of photoelectrons using a newly developed dedicated technology with an ultra-low readout noise (0.27 electrons rms) at super high speeds and high resolution.

Hamamatsu Photonics K.K. started as a small firm in 1953 by Heihachiro Horiuchi who studied under the guidance of Dr. Kenjiro Takayangi now respectfully called the “father of Japanese television.” Over the past 65 years, they have been consistently engaged in developing photoelectric devices and their application products while moving forward along with the continuing advances in technologies of light.

We’ve recently refreshed our website, and we hope that you will find the changes to be a big improvement. We’ve worked hard to make it easier to navigate the site, and to find exactly what you need from among our vast and diverse range of products.

Missing e-commerce?

One thing that we’ve not carried over from the previous site at this time is the facility to order online for a select range of our products, which you may have been used to in the past. “Off-the-shelf” items represent a small part of our product range; most often a purchase requires a more in-depth discussion between our sales team and the customer to match the right product to the user’s application. For this reason we have focussed on making it as easy as possible to request a quotation from our sales team.

Please rest assured that we will get back to you with pricing promptly, and will work with you to make sure the products you buy are exactly what you need. Once you’re ready to order, our sales team will work through the process with you, to make it as seamless as possible.

Once you’ve selected all the items you’re interested in, by clicking “Add to Quote” on the product page, just click “View Quote Request List” or the icon in the top navigation bar, check your list, set quantities, complete your details and submit the form. Our sales team will respond by email, in a timely manner.
