Laser 2000

Super-resolution & Confocal Modules

Affordable and excellent add-on for imaging facilities to increase the imaging capacity.
Easily capture and analyse 3D images of cellular structures down to the single molecule level.
Re-scan Confocal Microscope

Super-resolution confocal microscopy can be used to achieve image resolution higher than that imposed by the diffraction limit.

The RCM rescan confocal microscope is available for both visible wavelengths and NIR wavelengths and offers scanning speeds of up to 4 frames per second. Lateral resolution for the visible is 170 nm and 240 nm for the NIR.

The SPINDLE® family of 3D microscope upgrades extend the capabilities of your microscope for nano-scale 3D imaging and sensing.

The SPINDLE attaches between any widefield microscope and camera and ensures pupil plane alignment to your microscope and objectives with corrective optics. It is available as a single or dual channel with up to four wavelengths with multicolour masks. The bypass mode allows you to revert back to 2D imaging without having to dismantle. It unlocks vast potential when used with other tools and techniques, including STORM, PALM, SOFI, widefield, TIRF, FRET, confocal, and more.

SPINDLE 3D Microscope Upgrade
Double Helix Optics’ SPINDLE™ gives researchers the ability to easily capture and analyse 3D images of cellular structures down to the single molecule level. Built-in bypass mode allows for easy return to non-3D experiments.

The RCM Rescan Confocal Microscope was created by Confocal.nl

Confocal.nl was founded in 2016 by Dr Erik Manders and Peter Drent. Erik is the head of the research group that developed the RCM technology and continues to work on the future models. He is well known in the microscopy world by the Manders’ coefficient and the Controlled Light Exposure Microscopy (CLEM, together with Ron Hoebe). Peter has played a key role in the development of Confocal.nl and has more than 25 years of experience in the microscopy business.

The company currently focusses on combining super-resolution capability with higher sensitivity than most confocal microscopes.

Double Helix is a team of top talent from a range of fields coming together to advance discovery and research in precision 3D nano-imaging. They have recognised world experts in super-resolution, first-rate engineers in optics, 3D imaging, software, and advisors from the research and business world. They are experts in their fields, collaborators in others, and excited by discovery.
