Crossed Roller Guide Translation Stages

There are 5 variations in for extended contact ball bearing guide linear stages, these are separated by the linear motion of the stage (X, XY, Z, XZ, XYZ).

The products which involve these variations include, the TAM (Crossed Roller Method) and the TAMC (Long Travel Crossed Roller). Some stages also come with the vertical option of linear movement which is denote by L in the product code and opposite model (inverse motions) denoted by R in the product code.

Crossed roller guide enables the high precision of a ball slide with the high stiffness and load capacity of a dovetail.  The Aluminum body offers light-weight, with long travel options (TAMC Series)

TAM Series:

High precision crossed-roller linear translation stages with black anodized aluminum bodies.
  • Bottom counter bore clearance holes are sized and spaced to accept both M6 or 1/4 size screws for mounting these stages down to a table.
  • Both M6 or 1/4-20 inch tapped hole versions
  • Both left and right hand adjustment versions
  • Multiple actuator options Standard micrometer, sub-micron micrometer, fine pitch screw.
  • All stages are equipped with a robust knurled head locking

TAMC Series

High precision crossed-roller linear translation stages with black anodized aluminum bodies.
  • These stages use a leadscrew drive system (2mm pitch) with a crank style handle enabling smooth, fast
  • The standard stages have a linear scale on the side of the stage with resolution of 1mm and a second scale on the crank(resolution of 20μm).
  • The LS models have a digital scale with resolution of 0.1mm

 

Line contact of rollers in a V groove rail offers high stiffness. In addition, low friction and almost no differential slip are suitable for minute feeding.
