Waveform Generator

The Waveform Generator enables you to generate five types of built-in independent waveforms: sine, square, ramp, pulsed or DC. Modulate phase, frequency, or amplitude, or generate triggered bursts or sweeps from internal or external sources.

Below is the Waveform Generator’s user interface showcasing some of the key features explained below:

Key Features of the Waveform Generator:

Advanced modulation options

Frequency Modulation (FM), Amplitude Modulation (AM), and Phase Modulation (PM) are available with the Waveform Generator. These can be standardly modulated by an internally generated sinewave, through an external input, or through cross-channel modulation.

Cross-channel modulation enables the output of one channel to modulate another channel. For example, an FM square waveform can be used to modulate a sine waveform creating a cross-channel modulated output signal.

Waveform Types:

The five predefined waveforms are: Sine, Square, Ramp, Pulse and DC.

The Sine, Square, and Ramp waveforms can be configured for frequency, amplitude, offset, and phase. You can also change the ramp waves’ symmetry and the pulse waves’ pulse width and edge time.

Enable/Disable Outputs:

The outputs can be enabled or disabled through a tap of a button.
