Resolution Spectra

RESOLUTION Spectra Systems was set up in 2011 to develop an offer based on SWIFTS™ technology and advanced optical spectroscopy. Its founders are senior engineers, business managers and research scientists from high-technology companies and research laboratories from the Grenoble area in France. The company is also based in Meylan near Grenoble, one of Europe’s leading high-technology centers.

RESOLUTION Spectra Systems has developed several families of off-the-shelf integrated optical systems and is focusing its R&D efforts on tailoring solutions to applications that require a high level of performance, compactness, robustness and that remain easy-to-use and to implement.

They specialise in 3 main technologies; Swifts, Raman spectroscopy and Chemometric analysis and software.

Stationary-Wave Integrated Fourier Transform Spectrometry (SWIFTS™) is an analytical technique used for measuring the distribution of light across an optical spectrum

Raman spectroscopy is an optical vibrational spectroscopy technique consisting in measuring the vibrational response of molecular bonds to the excitation by a laser. Each different molecule has a different spectral response corresponding to the different modes of vibration of its molecular structure.  It provides in situ nondestructive measurement with a very good analytical selectivity, so that the concentration of several essential compounds in complex liquid media can be monitored simultaneously.

Chemometrics is the science of extracting information from chemical systems by data-driven instrumentation. It is based on statistical tools and targets the elaboration of chemometric models which make the link between a Raman spectrum (raw measured data) and the concentrations of the compounds inside the analyzed medium. They are trained on the basis of reference measurements to be performed on example batches. This step is also called multivariate calibration of the sensor.
