Laser 2000 has a very strong and succesful range of fibre optic amplifiers including Erbium, Ytterbium and Thulium doped devices. Most of these devices are supplied custom designed to your application and can be volume built for a very cost effective solution. We offer a full range of optical amplifiers in module format, covering both commercial and rugged operating conditions, non-polarised and linear polarisation signals in the 1.55 µm, 1 µm and the 2 µm bands.
Lower power optical amplifiers are available in the standard “MSA” format module which can then optionally be integrated in a benchtop system with 240V mains power supply and local control panel.
The BKTel Photonics High Power (5W) and Ultra High Power (10W) Optical Amplifiers are available in a larger format module, or again as a benchtop system. These are available in the 1.55 µm, 1 µm and 2 µm bands.
Typical appications are Data communication amplification, Fibre sensing, Freespace laser sensing, Narrow linewidth seed laser amplification (often PM – polarisation maintaining amplifiers) and MOPA (master oscillator power amplifier) for materials processing.
