Having a built-in controller simplifies the setup process. The ability to daisy chain multiple stages means less cabling, and less mess. The addition of a motor encoder protects the stage from both slip and stall. The linear actuators provide 25 or 50 mm of travel, and up to 30 mm/s speed, with 25 N thrust.
