Phasemeter
The Phasemeter simultaneously measures phase, frequency and amplitude of up to four input signals. The signals are all compared to the same reference clock leading to a precision greater than 6 μradian throughout the operating range.
Below is the Phasemeter’s user interface showcasing some of the key features explained below:
Key Features of the Phasemeter:
Real-time Data Analysis Support Tools
The Phasemeter has integrated real-time spectral analysis tools to allow you to analyse measurements in the time and frequency domains. You can display and save Power Spectral Densities, Allan Deviation, Amplitude Spectral Densities, and more.
Output Configuration Options
There is an option to generate sine waves that are phase-locked to the instrument’s inputs. The instrument uses a digitally implemented phase-locked loop architecture which automatically relates the phases of the input and output signals.
This provides exceptional dynamic range, zero deadtime, and a measurement precision that exceeds performances of conventional lock-in amplifiers and frequency counters.
Flexible Signal Tracking
Free-wheeling mode intelligently holds the loop state when the signal fades unexpectedly and automatically re-engages when it returns.
Applications:
- Oscillator analysis
- Allan Deviation
- Optical/ultrasound ranging
- Interferometry
- Directed energy
- Phase-locked loop
- Gravitational wave detection
